The two boys sitting on the couch got up and left, one of them lingered in the doorway awkwardly as if he were praying that Lucinda would throw a fit again but one look from Ed and he scampered from the room like someone had shocked him. After they were alone for a moment, Ed responded to her comment, "See? You almost know as much about he as my mom!" He sighed and looked at her with a tired smile.
The sun was beginning to get to the really awkward height in the sky where it was shining right in Ed's face but it was too dark in the room to close the blinds without having to turn on lights. Her voice was like a chiming echoing out of the sun when she spoke again, "My parents shipped me and my siblings here, so I really didn’t have a choice." It was a little shocking to Edwin that she hadn't come to this school by choice. She was so talented that it seemed natural that she had really wanted to be here, "So you didn't want to study here?" He couldn't help but look a little confused.

People started to leave the living room and she heard someone switch off the television, background noise of talking students fell to her ears and she glanced around at the individuals in the room before she looked at Edwin with a delicate smile before having a final look around, noticing people had left but that didn’t necessarily bother her, to start off with she had come in here to complete her work and know was talking to a pretty nice guy. Maybe she should apologies for her actions earlier, she could always be a bit quick tempered at times, “Sorry about snapping at you earlier,” he muttered slightly and avoided any eye contact, she always hated saying sorry to someone if she was in the wrong, she liked to think she was always right but of course you couldn’t always be right!
A small chuckle escaped her lips and she smile awkwardly, at least his mother knew more about him than her mum did, she always knew that her mother preferred her older siblings, mostly because she was an aspiring model and Luc was just an amateur artist. When he questioned her not wanting to come here she scowled slightly, “Well, I did want to come here but my parents just wanted to get rid of me and wouldn’t let me think about it but I’m glad that I’m here now,” It was typical of her to get sent somewhere she didn’t want to go, but for once her parents made a good decision, “What brought you here then Mr. Hansen?” She beamed slightly and waited for an answer.

Edwin shook his head in protest, "No way! Don't worry about it!" He said, his British accent ringing in his words like a bell in a church. He leaned forward on to his palms and looked her over as she laughed. There was something really sexy about that laugh. He kind of wanted to hear it again.
When she asked what brought him here, though, he got a little uncomfortable. He didn't want to tell her almost the same exact story she had just told him about his parents wanting to get rid of him. Instead he thought for a moment and then chose to say, "My parents just really encouraged boarding school for college..." He explained, flashing her his most distracting smile.

One thing she hated doing was apologizing because of her actions, she really hated saying sorry to people even if she was in the wrong. At least she had got it out of the way, and from the looks of things he had excepted her apology and now she could act as if it had never happened, of course it had happened but she felt slightly embarrassed by how she overreacted to what had happened, oh well, it was all in the past now and it wasn’t like she was going to do it again, not intentionally anyway maybe by accident. Sometimes she just couldn’t control her anger but no one seemed to believe that and would always say that you can control your anger, but it is easier said than done.
Lucinda nodded slightly at his story and smiled, “I see,” She commented and glanced around the room not wanting to dig deeper to why he was here, most people she had spoke to their parents had shipped them her because they wanted the best for their education or just couldn’t be bothered to look after them, like Lucinda’s parents. There was a silence between herself and him, so she started to twiddle awkwardly with her thumbs and looked around the room to see what everyone was doing.

Without know what to say, Edwin leaned back in his chair so he was balancing carefully on two legs. He could feel the aging wood creak under his weight and decided it wasn't such a good idea. He leveled out his chair and leaned his chin into his palm again, trying to mull over those awkward conversation topic people try to teach you in grade school. His first thought was the more generic question, 'So the weather is nice...' but he didn't think she would appreciate an obvious attempt at small talk so he made his mind move away from that idea.
His second thought was the one he went with, "So you have siblings here? They older or younger?" He figured that continuing with information from the conversation would make it seem less like he was trying to find an excuse to keep talking to this girl.

There was a awkward silence between the two and Lucinda rack her brains to try and find something that she could talk to him about. Then he asked her about her siblings and she smiled sheepishly before opening her mouth, “I happen to have two older siblings, my sister Elizabeth who is twenty one and my brother Anthony who is twenty.” She spoke, her siblings were nothing like her, they were both pretty close but that didn’t mean they didn’t get on. Out of her siblings she got on more with her brother than her sister, Elizabeth was just stuck up and thought the world was her oyster and everyone should obey her. Although Anthony was just as bad, he was really romantic which Lucinda found cute but he’d never show his romantic side, he’d just use these girls and think everything was okay! “I’d love to have a younger sibling,” She stated with a smile and shrugged her shoulders, “Do you have any siblings?”

It took a moment but eventually he recognized the name, "Anthony Vachar? I had a lyrics class with him last year, is that your brother?" He couldn't think of any Anthony close to his age other than this one so it seemed to make sense. Ed pulled open his binder and looked at the mess of sheet music for a moment before starting to finally put the papers on the rings for the first time, "Nope, I'm an only child." He replied with a shrug, "My mum didn't even really like me all that much let alone think about having another child."

When Edwin mentioned her brothers name she nodded and smiled, “Yep, that’s my big brother.” She commented and looked around the room trying to avoid any sort of conversation that involved her talking about her older siblings, they all got along but she had always felt like the black sheep in the Vachar family. Then again she was the youngest of her siblings and she had been a mistake in her parent’s eyes. “I think I’d rather be an only child,” She stated, but then again her parents would still most likely disapprove of her breathing, scratch that, being born! Sure they were happy she had talent at art but then again they were pretty happy that all their children had talent, especially the two eldest children.

Ed nodded, happy that he actually was right about Anthony, "Yeah, he's a cool dude." If he remembered correctly, he still had Tony's number programmed into his phone even though they hadn't ever actually spoken except for the group project they had in Lyrics. He had a vague memory of Tony talking about his family but because he didn't actually remember the words, he just let sleeping dogs lie.
When she said she wanted to be an only child, though, he narrowed his eyes and shook his head, "Being an only child is....lonely." He explained, "You're lucky."

When Edwin referred to her older brother as a cool dude she couldn’t help but crack a smile, it had cheered her up, scratch that, he had cheered her up. Not a lot of people called her brother a cool dude, maybe a romantic who didn’t know when to pull his trousers up but still, she loved Anthony dearly and nothing would change that. Now thinking about it, how would Tony react if he knew Lucinda was socializing with a guy? She hardly ever talked to guys, yet here she was, even though previously she was shouting at some girl and then getting all stressed with him. “Hardly anyone has referred to my brother as a cool dude.” She stated honestly and smiled softly before looking around her surroundings.
“Wouldn’t be as bad as arguing with your older siblings all the time,” She cocked an eyebrow and shook her head. Sure she loved her siblings but she couldn’t help but feel she’d prefer to be an only child in order to avoid those long arguments with her sister about her unique dress sense. Elizabeth hated the way her sister dressed simply because Lucinda had a unique dress sense and wouldn’t allow her older sister to dress her like a doll.
