Sophia practically skipped down the hall. With finals and everything she'd been so swamped down with homework she'd barely had time for anything. Normally she wouldn't have studied so hard but Louisa wouldn't let her skip out and get bad grades. She was kind of grateful to her sister as she was pretty sure she'd done awesome on everything, including her core classes and so she wouldn't have to worry about making anything up. But she'd practically gone crazy doing that much school stuff.
She reached the group commons, breathless, but so excited she barely stopped for a moment before heading inside. Her sister and a couple of her other friends weren't quite done with finals yet, so she couldn't do any big end of year parties yet, but she'd sent a text to her friend Cadence and she was hoping she would show up so she could have someone to hang out with. Plus since most people weren't done the room was practically empty except for this one kid who almost always hung out in there.
She checked her phone again, It was right about the time she was supposed to be here. She looked around the room, rolling back and forth on the balls of her feet while she waited with as much patience as a girl like Sophia could muster.

It was a good feeling, knowing that she had probably aced all of her exams. Of course, math had been on of the only ones that she had been really worried about, but not anymore. The test had been a breeze. Dance had been two times easier than that. It stood to reason, since she had been practicing (as well as studying) straight through for, like, the past month. But that had also meant that her time spent locked in her dorm, or in the dance hall meant that she got to see Sophia even less than usual with her hectic schedule. It hadn't surprised Cadence to receive the text from Sophia, now that finals were over, at least, for them. It would be nice to see her friend after more than a month of passing the time studying and working her tail off.
Cadence had just dropped her dance bag on her bed when she received the text from Sophia, requesting her to come down to the Commons. The teen was more than happy to trot down there at the moment, but first she jumped in for a quick shower, then dressed in her outfit for the rest of the day. She hadn't wanted to be smelly and sweaty because of her earlier trip to the dance studio.
Due to this, Cadence arrived a bit late to her meeting up with Sophia, but only by a few minutes. It wasn't really enough to cause any trouble. Cadence grinned when she caught sight of her friend and seemingly glided over to her, "Hello, mon ami." She greeted cheerfully, "Sorry I'm a bit late, I spent the morning in the dance studio." Cadence added, apologizing with a slight shrug of her shoulders, hopefully it wouldn't bring any trouble with her friend.

Sophia jumped a little bit when she heard someone speak. She turned around excitedly to see Cadence.
"Caddy!" She said, before rushing over to give her a hug. She quickly pulled away and placed both her hands on her friend's shoulders.
"Have I told you...?" She attempted to talk in a serious voice, but giggles and smiles kept cracking through. "That you sound super hot whenever you talk in French?" She really was giggling now. "Actually, you're just hot in general, I'm totally jealous." She said as she gestured to Cadence's frame.
"So, We've pretty much got the whole place to ourselves." She said over her shoulder as she walked away, gesturing around the place. She was super excited, granted it would be more fun if they had a big group of kids, but sometimes one-on-one time could be just as fun, and Cadence was one of those people who was just always fun. Period.
"Wait I forgot something..." She began pacing around the room with her hand on her forehead, then she stopped. "Ahh I was going to bring food, but I forgot. You're not hungry are you? Because if you are we could totally sneak some stuff up from the kitchens..." She said rather rapidly and probably in one breath.

It didn't surprise Cadence in the slightest that Sophia didn't even bat an eye, even though she had arrived just a tad bit late. That was something that she absolutely adored about her best friend, Sophia was rather forgiving, or didn't even bat an eye at half of the things that Cadence said, or sometimes did. It was absolutely extraordinary what didn't faze her friend. Cadence grinned at her friend when Sophia said she was hot when she talked in french, or, rather, she was hot almost all the time, really, her friend's words, though, not her own. Cadence wouldn't really ever boast about herself in that manner.
"You don't look half bad yourself, Soph! Vous joli jeune fille!" Cadence replied, grinning cheerfully back at her friend. The french came a bit more easily to her than the English, since she still had her accent and all. She was bilingual, of course, speaking both english and french since she was younger, she had also picked up a few phrases in other languages throughout her years. Cadence nodded in agreement when Sophia said that they had the place to themselves, "For now, at least." Cadence added, "Soon enough everyone else will be finished with their exams, as well." The dancer gave a light shrug of her shoulders as she finished speaking. Cadence didn't like being a downer, but someone always had to point it out.
Cadence gave a shake of her head when Sophia, more or less, asked if she had already eaten, listening as her friend seemingly ranted on, "Calmer votre enfant fou!" The teen exclaimed with a grin, "I'm not hungry, but we can find something if you're hungry, I suppose. I should be fine without eating for a while." Cadence added, tilting her head slightly, "I grabbed an energy bar after practice." She explained, giving and exquisite shrug of her thin shoulders. Cadence was more concerned with her hyperactive friend eating than herself, Cadence always ate, her mother made sure of that. "So, Soph, what do we plan on doing on this magnificent day?" Cadence asked, throwing her arms out in to the air in a dramatic pose and waiting for her friend to reply.
*- Vous joli jeune fille - You pretty girl -* *- Calmer votre enfant fou - Calm down you mad child -*

Sophia smiled and blushed a little, "aww...you're so sweet!" she giggled. Her French, while existent, wasn't great. So she wasn't exactly sure what Cadence had said but she had used the word pretty and so that was good enough for her.
She bit her lip. She wasn’t exactly hungry but, she always thought things were more fun when food was involved. But did she really want to go through that effort? Nope. Then she paused, “wait Cadence what does that mean?” Let’s see, she mused, “umm…Calmer means calm. Enfant is…child yes? And fou…food? No that’s not it…” she been pacing with her hand clasped to her forehead. She stopped and looked at Cadence with mock distress. “Don’t make fun of me okay, we can’t all be awesome bilingual French girls with awesome accents!” She out her hands on her hips, but she couldn’t keep herself from grinning.
“Anyway, If we're hungry we can just raid the kitchen later,” she off-handedly. The she looked around the room, there was something else she’d been meaning to talk about…”music,” she said, clapping her hand to her forehead again, “we need music..” she looked around for her player, started to head toward it but then stopped suddenly and turned back around. “I can’t remember, what kind of music do you like?” Sophia tended to prefer pop, though she was usually cool with whatever as long as it wasn’t that scream/metal stuff. How could people even call that music? It was terrible to listen to and you don’t need any talent to be good at it.
